Fit Kids For Life began in 2007 as a small fitness club started by Theresa Cordova at her children's elementary school. This four-week program introduced kids to the components of fitness and educated them about their bodies and the importance of staying active. With parent participation, the club also featured presentations on topics like cardiovascular health and healthy habit formation.
Under Theresa’s leadership, Fit Kids For Life grew from its roots in youth fitness to a comprehensive organization that promotes wellness for individuals of all ages, and abilities supporting a healthy lifestyle across the lifespan now known as Fit For Life
Today, Fit For Life offers a variety of programs for all Ages and Abilities including:
The Mind Over Matter: Fortitude & Strength program is designed to enhance the physical and cognitive resilience of individuals with neurodegenerative conditions such as Parkinson's and Alzheimer's.
